Property Details
We are the owners of a historic farmhouse dating back to the 1400s, built on Colle Giorgio, a hill just outside Perugia. Located in open countryside, but a mere stone's throw from the historic centre of the city, it was converted into a family villa in the 1970s.
During 2001-2002, the building has once again been refurbished and remodelled into three sumptious apartments, which are intended for families wishing to spend brief holiday periods in Umbria.

We believe that we are offering something that has been missing in central Italy: not your average farm holiday accommodation, nor an uninspiring flat, but a luxurious apartment in a villa in which the owners themselves reside, amid elegance, comfort and tradition, and accompanied by warm, friendly, family hospitality.

The owners live in an adjacent wing of the villa, a guarantee of a warm, friendly Italian welcome. Their hospitality will ensure: help with all your needs, suggestions for sight-seeing and cultural tours of the most interesting Umbrian towns, (as well as Rome and Florence, a mere one-and-a-half hours drive from Perugia.)

The owners will also be delighted to provide any information required for guided tours with the best tour guides in Umbria.

The apartments will be provided with the number of beds required by our guests ( 2-3 beds, or 4-6 beds ), and also include: satellite colour TV, jacuzzi and/or albatross whirlpool bath,washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, safe, small library, and a living room with fireplace - all in an environment surrounded by greenery, a garden with reserved parking spaces, barbecue, kennel and table-tennis table.

The owners also guarantee that the kitchens will be supplied with everything needed for a hearty breakfast.

Area Description
Situated in the centre of the Italian peninsula, the region of Umbria is traditionally considered the green heart of Italy.

As a guest, you certainly will be enchanted by the dazzling views of centuries-old villages perched atop radiant, green, rolling Umbrian hillsides. Equally delighful is a visit to the ancient city of Perugia, the regional capital, to wander its narrow, winding medieval streets. Built on the crest of a hill at an elevation of 493 metres, your gateway to the city will be the magnificent Etruscan Arch, still perfectly intact.

A memorable experience can also be enjoyed in the dark, mysterious passageways of the old underground quarter, which run under the fortress at La Rocca Paolina, commissioned by Pope Paul III and built by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger in 1549.

Other attractions are the Etruscan monuments, the museums, the fresh Umbrian air, the myriad of restaurants where diners can savour the traditional dishes of Umbria and Italian cuisine in general, and the friendliness of the locals, who have long been accustomed to the presence of visitors from other countries as Perugia is the home of the University for Foreigners for Italian Language Studies, the oldest and most prestigious institute of its kind in Italy.

Finally, we should not forget Etruscan and medieval Perugia, a city of art, culture and nature, and also the important events which take place there throughout the year, for example the Umbria Jazz Festival (during the July month) and Eurochocolate (during the October month).

If you should choose to be a guest at Villa Nuba Colle Giorgio II, you will experience a truly unforgettable holiday.

What is more, Perugia is not far from the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) and only one and a half hours drive from Rome and Florence, three hours from Bologna and five hours from Milan.

By car:
From Rome: by car, Orte exit, towards Cesena on the E45 highway.
From Florence: by car, Valdichiana exit, towards Perugia on the Perugia-Bettolle highway.
From Milan and Bologna: by car, Cesena exit, toward Rome on the E45 highway.
A14 "Adriatica" motorway: from the north, exit at Rimini (follow signs for Citta' di Castello) - Fano (follow signs for Gubbio);
from the south: exit at Ancona nord (and follow signs for Gubbio)
FROM PERUGIA TOWN TO VILLA NUBA:
When you arrive in Perugia, follow the signals for Monteluce (ospedale policlinico). From there take Via Eugubina and go street on.After two petrol pumps (the last one is Tamoil) you will find on your right the number 105: turn on the left and take the private road that you find on your left side.
After only 100 metres up on Colle Giorgio II you will see Villa Nuba ( Strada Eugubina,70 Loc.Colle Giorgio II,Perugia)
